Pengembangan kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan bidang study fiqih di SMP Islam Ar-Rofi’iyyah Semampir Kraksaan

Abstract

SMP Islam Ar-Rofi'iyyah Semampir Kraksaan, under the Ar-Rofi'iyyah Islamic boarding school foundation, follows the Education Unit Level Curriculum. This provides a unique research opportunity, particularly in the subject of fiqh, a crucial component of madrasah education. Fiqh is taught independently at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, reflecting its importance in religious education. This research explores the development of the Education Unit Level Curriculum in fiqh studies at SMP Islam Ar-Rofi'iyyah. It investigates the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing this curriculum. A qualitative method was used, including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Findings show that the curriculum development in fiqh involves: a) learning implementation preparation, b) learning implementation, and c) learning outcomes evaluation. Supporting factors include adequate learning infrastructure and comprehensive school programs aimed at curriculum development. These programs involve the socialization of basic curriculum concepts, the formation of a curriculum committee, a development team, and monthly evaluations through meetings. Additionally, a performance research system for teachers and students that includes rewards and punishments enhances development. Inhibiting factors include the school's limited local resources, the high number of teachers working in other institutions, some teachers lacking S-1 diplomas, teacher indiscipline, and constraints in funds, time, and energy affecting learning methods. Furthermore, students' lack of readiness for independent study poses a challenge. Overall, while SMP Islam Ar-Rofi'iyyah faces several challenges, the structured approach to curriculum development and supportive infrastructure significantly contribute to advancing fiqh education.
