Corretion & Retraction Policy

KHIDMAH: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. This policy outlines the procedures for correcting errors and handling retractions to ensure the quality and reliability of the research we publish.

1. Corrections:

1.1 Minor Corrections:

  • Minor errors that do not affect the overall results or conclusions of the research (e.g., typographical errors, minor data inaccuracies) will be corrected through a correction notice published in the next available issue of the journal.
  • Authors should promptly inform the editorial office of any errors detected in their published work.

1.2 Major Corrections:

  • Significant errors that impact the interpretation of the research but do not invalidate the entire study (e.g., errors in data analysis, misinterpretation of results) will require a major correction.
  • A correction notice will be published, and the original article will be updated to reflect the changes. The correction notice will detail the nature of the error and the modifications made.

2. Retractions:

2.1 Grounds for Retraction:

  • Retractions are considered in cases of significant errors or scientific misconduct that invalidate the findings and conclusions of the research. This includes:
    • Plagiarism
    • Fabrication or falsification of data
    • Serious methodological flaws
    • Ethical breaches in research

2.2 Retraction Process:

  • The decision to retract an article will be made by the editorial board based on thorough investigation and consultation with the authors and, if necessary, external experts.
  • Authors and institutions will be notified of the retraction decision and given an opportunity to respond before the retraction is finalized.

2.3 Retraction Notice:

  • A retraction notice will be published in the next available issue of the journal and linked to the retracted article. The notice will clearly state the reasons for the retraction to inform readers of the issues with the original publication.
  • The retracted article will remain accessible on the journal's website, but it will be clearly marked as retracted.

3. Editorial Responsibility:

  • The editorial board of KHIDMAH: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is responsible for ensuring that corrections and retractions are handled promptly and transparently to maintain the trust and confidence of the scholarly community.

4. Author Responsibilities:

  • Authors are responsible for informing the editorial office of any significant errors or issues in their published work and cooperating with the correction or retraction process.

5. Notification of Errors:

  • Readers who identify potential errors or issues in published articles are encouraged to contact the editorial office. All notifications will be investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken as per this policy.
